WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Common Heritage
I’m taking a moment to rest and reflect on how I’m living out the commitment I made to Jesus this morning regarding the care of water.
“The earth is essentially a common heritage, whose fruits are meant for the benefit of all. ‘God has destined the earth and all it contains for the use of the whole human race,’ as the Second Vatican Council affirmed.” John Paul II. I realize how I have benefited this morning from the common heritage that is water. Did I think of those who do not have sufficient access to water when I used it?
I thank God for the gift of water and return to my commitment to care for it, thinking also of others. I conclude with the prayer of the month.
