WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Faithfulness in Surrender
Lord Jesus, I place myself in your presence as I begin this day. Open my heart to hear your Word without distractions.
โAt that time, amid the general admiration for what he was doing, Jesus said to his disciples: โTake these words to heart: the Son of Man is going to be handed over into the hands of men.โ Lord, I am amazed that you do not flee from suffering, but rather embrace it out of love for me. Grant me the grace to follow you faithfully in your boundless self-sacrifice all the way to the cross.
May I respond to your great love today by loving others and responsibly caring for water, the precious gift you give us day by day.
I offer up my prayer for this day.
