WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
A Renewing Gaze
In the company of the holy archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, I place myself in your Presence, Lord, welcoming your merciful gaze as you did with Nathanael.
I read your Word in prayer: “Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, ‘Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit.’ Nathanael said to him, ‘How do you know me?’ Jesus answered, ‘Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.’ Nathanael replied, ‘Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel’” (John 1:47–51).
Thank you, Lord, for knowing me even before I seek you; thank you for always seeing all that is good in me. Grant me the grace to see myself as you see me and to thank you, because all the good I have is from you.
I offer you my day, so that I may offer you the best of myself.
