WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Courage for Encounter
Around the middle of the day, we pause and consciously draw our hearts close to the Heart of Jesus.
The story of Peter and Paul teaches us that the community to which the Lord calls us is a harmony of voices and faces, and does not take away from each person’s freedom. Our patrons followed different paths, had different ideas, and at times argued and even debated with gospel-like frankness. But that did not prevent them from living in the concordia apostolorum—a living communion in the Spirit, a fruitful harmony within diversity. (Pope Leo)
We look at our daily lives: how do we deal with differences?
Lord, make your Church a place of communion in the Spirit.
United with the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, we pray the prayer of the month.
