WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
The Gospel…
I pause my activities for a few minutes to draw closer to the Lord. He entrusts me with the mission of bringing the Gospel to those around me, “not as someone who imposes a new duty, but as someone who shares a joyful message, points to a beautiful horizon, and offers a delightful feast. The Gospel does not spread through coercion, but through attraction.” (Pope Francis)
Among these images used by Pope Francis to describe the Gospel, which one speaks most deeply? And what words would I use to speak of it to someone: a treasure, a source of living water, or another image?
So many people in our cities are waiting for a joy that will set them free and give meaning to their lives! With whom might I share it?
I end this month with Mary, who carried the Word within herself. May she encourage me in my desire to proclaim it to those around me…
Hail Mary.....
