WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Placing Trust
I am given a new day to open my heart to others and to God. In the Gospel, we see how the people of Nazareth struggle to trust Jesus: โTruly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his own hometown.โ (Lk 4:16โ30)
Am I able to see and welcome the new and unexpected things that may come from those close to me, and to place my trust in them?
I think about what awaits me today: the activities and encountersโat work, with my family, or elsewhere. I offer this day to you, Lord: everything that brings me joy, but also perhaps what I fear. May your Spirit open my heart to the unexpected ways in which your presence may reveal itself to me.
With this prayer of offering, I pause once more to reflect on this monthโs intention....
