A Brotherhood Yet to Be Built
I pause at midday and reflect on the intention Pope Leo has entrusted to us for this month of August: the evangelization of cities. Perhaps I myself live in a big city, or at least have the opportunity to visit one, and I can imagine the hustle and bustle, the rush, the noise, the loneliness…
I remain attentive to the people I meet there: in every face, in every story, there is a seed and a trace of God. I carry them in my prayers and entrust them to the Lord.
What connections can I build in my neighborhood, in my building, so that a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood may flourish?
I say the monthly prayer asking God to open my heart to this challenge....
