On August 22, Pope Leo XIV will visit the Rimini Meeting, becoming the second pope after St. John Paul II to attend in person. For more than 45 years, the Meeting has brought together people from different cultures, religions and backgrounds, seeking what unites us. Founded in 1980, it remains a space of dialogue, friendship and peace. Thousands of volunteers travel each year to support the event. During his visit, the Pope will greet participants and meet people who are sick, disabled and living in poverty, assisted by Caritas. He will conclude with the celebration of the Eucharist at Piazzale del Porto.
