In Damascus, Sr. Judita is known as the sister who runs the French Hospital. For four years, she and her community have managed the Catholic hospital amid war and hardship. A Daughter of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul for 33 years, she served in refugee camps and conflict zones before arriving in Damascus. Today the hospital has 108 beds, around 250 employees, and about 130 doctors. It cooperates closely with Caritas and international donors, striving to bring hope to patients every day.
