Vietnamese Catholics make pilgrimage to the Marian Shrine of La Vang - Vatican News

More than 200,000 pilgrims gathered at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Vang for the 32nd National Pilgrimage Congress, from August 13-15. Under the theme Mary, Messenger of the Good News, pilgrims from across Vietnam and from Vietnamese communities abroad came to Mary's home to find comfort and pray for the country, the Church and peace. For many, the shrine is at the heart of Vietnamese Catholic faith. As one priest noted, La Vang is like the shrine of Lourdes in Vietnam. The devotion remains a living memory of trust and refuge.
