US Bishops launch prayer and action initiative against spread of abortion pills - Vatican News

The US bishops’ pro-life committee launched a prayer and action initiative against abortion pills from August 18 through October. Archbishop Paul Coakley and Bishop Daniel Thomas said every abortion involves the death of a child and harm to the mother.

The effort includes a prayer in English and Spanish for St. Joseph’s intercession and directs Catholics to the USCCB’s Respect Life Prayer and Action website. The initiative also coincides with Respect Life Month. The bishops noted FDA rules enabled mail-order abortion, leaving women vulnerable.
