Zambia: Diocesan Catholic clergy in Livingstone Diocese welcome workshop on Safeguarding - Vatican News

Sarah Davis · · News about the Church
Diocesan priests of Livingstone Diocese in Zambia gathered at Luxe Country Convention Centre for a leadership and child safeguarding training workshop. The sessions, led by Father Imasiku Ngalama Mwanamulena IV and Father John Damascene Rurangwa, focused on strengthening protection protocols, leadership accountability, and safe environments in parishes and community structures.

The workshop was part of the mandatory orientation on the diocese's Safeguarding Policy and was well received. Father Gregory Chabala, Livingstone Diocese president of AZADCC, called it very important because it helps priests understand reporting channels for the abused and exploited, and asked that it also be organised for Lay faithful leaders and religious men and women.
