A Changing Perspective
I pause for a moment, Lord, to reflect on the morning that has passed in your light. You remind us that all suffering, when lived in union with you, can become a path to salvation and bear fruit (Salvifici Doloris).
I allow myself to be challenged: Have I been able to recognize the anguish of my brothers and sisters? Have I remained blind to those who suffer in silence, so close to me?
God of Life, I entrust to You especially those who struggle with depression and mental health disorders. Enlarge my heart; open it to compassion, so that I may love through my presence, respect, and faithfulness.
