WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Feast of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, Patron Saint of the MEJ
On this first day of the month, Lord, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for Your living presence among us. Your Word reaches me: “I am sending you out like lambs among wolves” (Lk 10:3). It awakens in me a call to follow You with confidence.
On the obscure paths of mental illness, so many points of reference are lost. Yet You continue to dwell within human history to nurture a steadfast faith within it, just as Saint Thérèse discovered in her father’s trial.
Teach me to recognize Your face in the face of those who suffer. Together with my wounded brothers and sisters, I offer myself to You with trust.
And with Saint Thérèse, I say the Prayer of Offering with a heart full of love.
