WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
A Love That Draws Near
I pause at midday to stand before You, Lord, and contemplate You in silence. Your light illuminates my heart and reminds me that love never remains still: it goes out to meet others, especially those who suffer.
โLove is not passive; it goes out to meet others.โ (Pope Leo XIV).
I ask myself: Do I take the time to pray for people suffering from mental illness, particularly those who are alone, rejected, or neglected? Am I willing to welcome them despite their visible or invisible wounds?
Open my heart, Lord, to Your presence in my vulnerable brothers and sisters.
I offer myself to You in this monthโs prayer.
