A Wounded Heart
I reflect on the day. I thank You, Lord, for the blessings—big and small—that You have given me: a conversation, a surprise, the company of others.
I become aware of the painful or sad moments of the day—whether I have hurt someone or been hurt myself. We often hurt those we love.
Grant me the insight to make amends for the harm I’ve caused and to recognize what my heart needs to heal.
Tomorrow, I want to make a gesture of love toward the person with whom I had a difficult time today. Give me the strength to carry out this intention.
