WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
A Heart Open to Being Moved
On this new day, a gift of your love, Lord, I come before You with gratitude for your faithful presence—within me and alongside the most vulnerable. Your Word awakens me: “Woe to you…!” (Lk 11:47) and calls me to a true faith, attentive to the suffering of others.
I acknowledge that indifference sometimes dwells within me. I look away from my brother or sister who is suffering, especially from those marked by depression and mental illness. Lord, have mercy on my closed heart.
Fill me with genuine compassion. Teach me to welcome, love, and support others.
I offer myself to You through the prayer of offering.
