WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Faithful Servant
On this day, the Church commemorates Monica of Hippo, mother of Augustine of Hippo, who never ceased to pray for her son’s conversion. Through her intercession, I can ask for the grace of conversion for someone dear to me.
‘Blessed is that servant whom his master, upon arriving, finds busy with this work! Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.’ (Mt 24:42–51)
What is the work entrusted to me today? With what attitude will I carry it out? I can think of it as something I am doing for Jesus, my Lord.
I offer this work to the Lord, along with my entire day, praying the offering prayer for the month’s intention..
