Bishop Milton Tróccoli, President of the Uruguayan Bishops’ Conference, describes Pope Leo XIV’s Apostolic Visit from 6 to 8 November as a long-awaited grace and a gift for Uruguay. The Pope will strengthen the Church on its journey of faith, encourage its evangelising mission and confirm believers in their vocation as missionary disciples. Bishop Tróccoli says the visit will reach far beyond the Catholic community, bringing Uruguayan society a renewed message of confidence and hope. He also hopes the Pope’s presence will renew devotion to Our Lady of the Thirty-Three and open a new and hopeful horizon for the whole country.
