Pope Leo XIV will visit Peru from 11 to 17 November as part of his Apostolic Journey to South America, which also includes Uruguay and Argentina. The Peruvian leg includes visits to Lima, Chiclayo, Cusco and Pucallpa.

Cardinal Carlos Castillo, Archbishop of Lima, said the announcement has been welcomed with great joy and hope, and preparations are underway in all four cities. Cardinal Castillo hopes the visit will bring a message of fraternity, unity and peace amid social challenges including crime and violence.
