The First Confucian-Christian Colloquium in Seoul, South Korea, concluded with a Final Statement in which participants pledged to deepen friendship and dialogue between the two traditions. Held at Sogang University from 4 to 5 August, the gathering brought together scholars, religious leaders, educators, and practitioners from Asia, Europe, and North America. Through conversations held in a spirit of friendship, hospitality, and mutual respect, Christians and Confucians came to recognize a shared call to build a world of justice, respect, compassion, peace, and harmony. Participants also renewed their commitment to work together for the flourishing of humanity and the whole community of life.
