The Church in Morocco assists migrants returning from Ceuta - Vatican News

After around 60,000 migrants crossed from Morocco into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, the border is gradually returning to normal, but many families are still without news of their loved ones and fear they may have died during the crossing.
Archbishop Emilio Rocha Grande of Tangier says migrants returning to Morocco arrive exhausted and hungry. The local Catholic Church, which has long worked with sub-Saharan migrants, is now offering water and food within the limits of its resources.
The Archbishop also heard Pope Leo XIV's words as prophetic and as a challenge, and insists that every person possesses inherent dignity.
