Cardinal Bo of Yangon, Myanmar, told the faithful during Mass on the 19th Sunday of Ordinary Time that they are not alone in the storm, because Christ is with them. The Bishops' Conference president said faith does not mean there will be no storms, but that storms are not faced alone. He pointed to God’s quiet presence in small acts of love amid Myanmar’s storms of conflict, displacement, poverty, fear and grief. He urged young people to be men and women of conscience and to keep their eyes on Jesus.
