Pizzaballa in Assisi: Holy Land Christians are tired; they want peace - Vatican News

Michael Brown · · News about the Church
Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, was in Assisi for the inauguration of the Global House of Friendship and Hope, telling Vatican Media that Christians in the Holy Land are deeply weary and want peace. He described the situation as one of neither war nor peace, with violence shaping daily life in Gaza, the West Bank, Israel, and Palestine.

While hope remains, he warned that growing distrust is the greatest danger. The Holy Family Parish, sheltering 541 people, keeps trying to recreate a healthy environment.
