Young people from across the Mediterranean are gathered in Santa Maria di Leuca, Italy, from 10 to 14 August for the eleventh edition of Carta di Leuca, an international initiative promoting dialogue and fraternity. Five days of encounter, prayer and reflection are dedicated to peace.
Participants include young people from Cyprus and Jerusalem and young Italians involved in Caritas. Workshops address wounded relationships, welcoming others, healing memories and building hope. Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa will join the gathering and preside over the concluding Mass. The new Carta di Leuca 2026 will be proclaimed.
